About the Logo

Logo Description

This logo symbolizes the Spectrum Of Blindness And Tides Of Transformation.

A man is standing with his arms open in front of two waves for acceptance of change. On the lower side beside this man is a black orb which symbolizes the nothingness a fully blind individual cannot see, blending into the black orb is a larger orb in front of the man that is White which symbolizes Color Blindness since white is a mixture of all colors together, as the black and white are mixing together it’s reaching out for the sun which is beaming light down through the waves onto the man and into the orbs detailing how things can come together to make something entirely new never before heard of. Inside of the waves gives a tranquil sense of the balance and harmony within the swirls of the linework. This logo is designed with the thought in mind to shed more insight of the blind and visually impaired spectrum.

The Creation Process

Zamarian finished creating our beautiful conference logo in early October, then it went through a digitization process to achieve the logo used on the site and swag.

Meet Zamarian!

Zamarian, 18, lives in Danville, VA. He enjoys drawing, writing poetry, and composing music lyrics. He has been drawing since he was 5 years old. He is a 2024 graduate of George Washington High School in Danville, VA.

This is Zamarian's fourth Virginia AER Conference logo design.
